Inside an Online Dating Profile

I don't mean signing up for the next Private Investigator course that pops up online, but rather learning to decode the Online Dating Profile of the men or women you find attractive. This is essential in helping you decide how to approach women or men on any dating site. You'll want to select matches who are interested in finding the same type of relationship as you.

An Online Dating Profile will reveal a lot more information than you may think. You'll just have to learn how to read between the lines of the dating profile and decode what it really says.

Looking at the words being used in the dating profile and what's being said (and also what's omitted!) will reveal to you if your match wants to find a Soulmate or if he or she just wants to date casually. Let's say you're ready to find a wife (or find your Soulmate). You've joined a dating site which caters to serious-minded singles and you begin searching the dating profiles of available women and men...

You've read an online dating profile and the woman mentions she'd like to have kids one day; spends her weekends at museums; enjoys going to the theater and spends Sunday mornings sipping coffee and perusing the Washington Post. This woman is doing mature "couple oriented" activities - and she's probably ready for a committed relationship - unless she says otherwise.

On the other hand another woman's online dating profile says she wants to have kids one day too; she spends her weekends at the local Karaoke bar and bar-hopping with her friends. She just signed up for this year's St. Patty's Day infamous Bus Bar Crawl. This woman may want kids too but it sounds like she's still enjoying the single life and not at all ready to get serious! If you're looking to find a wife, this may not be the woman for you.

Let's look at another Dating Profile example.

You're a woman and just connected with a single man on a dating site. He's in your age group, attractive, and has a great job - but he says on his dating profile that he's just broken up with his ex and he's ready to move on and get married. This is a red flag - beware! Bringing fresh, unresolved emotional baggage into a new relationship can absolutely, without question, spell disaster.

Both men and women rush to find another relationship to cope with the pain of a broken heart. This usually ends up being a rebound relationship that doesn't last. Healing from any relationship takes time, and depending on the length of the relationship, healing can sometimes take a year if not even more. That's why this dating advice for men and women is vital if you want to avoid a broken heart yourself - or at the very least, if you want to avoid wasting your time and energy on someone who just isn't ready.

Using Decoding Strategies to
Find a Wife or Find a Husband

By now you may be comfortable "decoding" whether or not a potential mate is interested in marriage or just casual dating, but if you really learn to "read" an Online Dating Profile, you'll uncover more about your prospects than you imagine!

For instance, let's say you've found a woman's dating profile that interests you a lot. You can tell she definitely wants to settle down and you want to contact her as soon as possible. As you read her online dating profile again you see that she likes "the finer things in life; fine wines, fine dining, and exclusive five star resorts." This may be a woman who wants a man with a lot of money - and a man who will spend of lot of that money on her. She doesn't seem the type to cuddle up to a movie and a pizza. Think about how this lifestyle aligns with what you want yourself.

More Online Dating Profile Examples

Another example is the woman who lists more than ten prerequisites for the men she dates. This may be a high-maintenance woman who will never be truly satisfied and maybe one who is really looking for reasons to turn away her prospects, rather than openly embracing true love. If you're serious about your quest to find a wife or find your Soulmate, you may want to steer clear of her too!

Let's look at one more decoding case; a man says he wants to find a sensual, playful, and "imaginative woman." He may really be looking for a casual sex relationship rather than a long-term serious commitment. If a man's priority with a woman is the physical relationship he'll have, he may not be ready to settle down or take a relationship very seriously. If you want to find your Soulmate, avoid this type of match too.

When you take the time to think about what the online dating profiles are saying - decoding them as we've suggested - you'll learn a lot about your potential partners - and absolutely avoid wasting your time with players.

Knowing how to read between the lines of a dating profile is vital dating advice for men and women who know what they want - and don't want to date someone who doesn't meet their criteria.
